As you can now see, Dr. Jones, we are on the verge of completing a quest that began almost two thousand years ago. We're just one step away.
Walter Donovan is the main antagonist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, he is more commonly known as "Donovan".
Donovan was a collector of rare antiquities. He wanted to find the Holy Grail to gain immortality. At the end of the third film, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, he ultimately dies when Dr. Elsa Schneider gives him the False Grail. Donovan drinks from it and ages rapidly until his body decays and turns to dust. He was played by Julian Glover, the actor who portrayed General Maximillian Veers in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. His blue suit and ancient variants are only playable in the DS version of Lego Indiana Jones The Original Adventures. However, his parts are available in the art room.
In LEGO® Indiana JonesEdit
Donovan appeared in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures as a villain and a secret playable character. Donovan first appears when he talks to Indiana Jones in his office and wants him to travel to Venice in order to find more clues about the Holy Grail and to find his father who went missing when he searched for it. Strangely, Donovan doesn't appear in Castle Rescue where in the movie, he was supposed to reveal that he was working with Nazis. Instead, he shows up in the desert in his car with the captured Marcus Brody. His car is then pushed aside by Colonel Vogel's tank when he doesn't have the patience to wait. He later shoots Henry Jones Sr. in order to make Indy go through the Grail Temple as the Holy Grail was the only thing that could heal his father. But before Indy can take the Grail, unlike in the movie, Donovan rushes towards the table of Grails. He chooses the False Grail that makes him age hundreds of years. All his body parts pop off and he dies of old age.
In LEGO® Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues Edit
Walter Donovan is a playable character in Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for 500,000 studs on Xbox and PS3, but 250,000 studs on Wii. His costume here is the same as Donovan (Desert) in the first game.
In The Adventure Continues, he is a boss in the last level of the Last Crusade. He becomes a large whirlwind monster which takes everything around him; to defeat him, you must pick up a nearby RPG (called a Bazooka in the game) and shoot the whirlwind many times.
